A visionary leader with vast experience and knowledge in the healthcare industry, Dr. Fahad Khater is Chairman and owner of Alameda Healthcare Group, Egypt’s leading private healthcare group. With a solid track record in the healthcare field spanning over two decades, Dr. Khater has steadily grown the Alameda group through a mix of greenfield and brownfield projects into one of the largest hospital chains in Egypt with a total of four hospitals and bed capacity of 1,026 beds as well as 128 outpatient clinics, through a network of strategically located hospitals across Greater Cairo, including As-Salam International Hospital in Maadi; Katameya International Hospital in New Cairo; and Dar Al Fouad in Nasr City and 6th of October City. The Alameda network additionally includes a range of complementary facilities including diagnostic centers, medical labs, rehabilitation center, and pharmacies.

In addition to being a qualified physician, Dr. Khater has extensive experience in teambuilding, public speaking, healthcare information technologies, investment, market research, company development, strategic design, risk management, and financial analysis.

An active philanthropist and patron, he supports multiple organizations and communities through the Khater Foundation, which he spearheads.

Dr. Khater graduated from Charterhouse School in England, one of UK’s most the prestigious schools, along with an extensive list of distinguished graduates and holds an MBA in International Healthcare Management.

With his appetite for innovation and excellence, Dr. Khater also serves as Vice President of Emirates Healthcare Group, where he implemented significant changes within the organization which includes full-service hospitals, specialty clinics, urgent care centers, aesthetic and cosmetic clinics, and pharmacies. He is also a board member and investor at Diamond Medical Services. Dr. Khater’s other investment interests include home healthcare, rehabilitation and long-term care, and biotechnology.
